Firefighter Job Opportunity

The Fort Myers Shores Fire Protection & Rescue Service District (District) provides a variety of services to include a myriad of fire suppression activities, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Basic Life Support (BLS) non-transport, technical rescue, hazardous materials incident response, marine/waterborne operations, community relations and a variety of other emergency and non-emergency services. The District covers approximately 16 square miles out of one station with a second station currently under construction. With an annual call volume of approximately 2,300 calls per year, we are one of the fastest growing areas in Lee County. We currently have openings for up to 3 Firefighters and we are looking for committed, motivated and quality applicants to join us in serving our community.

Minimum position prerequisites:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Florida State Certified Firefighter 2
  • Florida State Certified EMT or Paramedic
  • S130
  • S190
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
